We were talking one day. About how most advice columns are written by women responding to questions from women. About how the advice out there for men rarely seems to go beyond workout routines and money-making tips. We thought, wouldn’t it be cool if there was a place where men could ask questions about anything, and get honest advice? Then we thought, why not start something like this ourselves?
We're joined this week by 20 year veteran of the FDNY and organizer of the NYC Prepper's Network, Jason Charles. Jason shares what he's learned from his experience in the FDNY and his longstanding interest in disaster prepping. In the second half, Jason lends a hand in giving advice to a man who can't let go of a workplace betrayal.
This week we're joined by the writer Thomas Page McBee. Thomas is the author of two books, "Man Alive" and "Amateur," which documents his experience becoming the first trans-man to box in Madison Square Garden. Thomas helps us answer a question from a listener who is drinking and smoking heavily and sounds bored with his life.
